Labels on Automobiles for ful efficiency?




Come 2015 and you may find all autombiles putting a label indicating the Govt. certified fuel efficiency  of the vehicle

It has been reported top 10 manufacturers have achieved  a fuel efficiency of 16.42 km/litre.By 2015 it would be improved to 18.15km/litre By 2020 they should reach an eficiency of 20.29km/litre.

The Govt has said that Daimler AG,Mahindra&Mahindra,BMW,NISSAN,AUDI,TOYOTA,HINDUSTAN MOTORS &VOLKSWAGON  have to do a lot in this direction.
Penalty upto Rs 10 lakhs is being thought of by Govt. on vehicles not meeting this criteria and cars could be  forced to be withdrawn from the market for violating the norms,the report says.
