The rebuilding of Mantralaya

Thoughts painfully  travel back to the scenes of the flood   ravaging Mantralayam two years back when one is on a pilgrimage to Mantralayam now!Pilgrims still talk about those dreadful days to the  Hotels and shops.I happened to hear today  the Owner of the New Udipi Sri Krishna Bhavan describing scene and plight of all  in Mantralayam on the day of the unprecedented flood and the difficult days which followed.
I was mentally admiring the hundreds of devotees and the staff of Sri Raghavendraswamy Mutt who toiled for several days to clean up the Mutt premises. No words of adulation will suffice  to those who toiled to rebuild   this sacred place of worship.
It is  a miracle blessed by Sri Raghavendraswami, indeed.
One finds the rebuilding of the  main entrance of the Bridavanam in progress. The entrance is now behind the Manchalamman Temple, looking majestic in its new form. One recalls the belief of some that the proposal of  shifting of the Manchalamman temple is the cause for the submerging of Mantralayam and Brindavanam!
Lakhs  of devotees of Sri Raghavendra are grateful to the Swamiji and the administration staff who are rebulding this great sacred place of worship..

The brand new Seva Choultry  named 'Dheerendra' inaugurated in April 2011 i s a fine piece of Building having 89 Rooms from the contributions of Donors all over India with excellent facilities for the Pilgrims who visit  Mantrayam.Rooms are allotted when the Pilgrims visit and directly approach the administrative staff of the Choultry if the Rooms are available. For hose who want to book from their homes they will have to get the recommendation letter from th respective  Donor. The Non AC Room is  charged only Rs 250/- per day with all the basic facilities including hot water  and the AC Rooms are charged Rs 700/-.
