Singanalluru Puttaswamayya Muthuraju (24 April 1928 – 12 April 2006)[1], better known by his screen name Rajkumar  considered a cultural icon of Kannada[10][11] where he is also known as Rajanna, Natasarvabhouma (emperor of acting),[12] Gaana Gandharva (singer in the court of Gods), and as Annavru (beloved elder brother).[13] is remembered today. What a great personality he was! Glittering like a diamond in the  Kannada film world when his counterparts MGR,Sivaji ,, in Kollywood and NTR in Andhra  were ruling the film world ,Dr.Raj was unique ,having a distinct style of his own,having donned innumerable roles from  a Hunter to a James Bond,to a loving father ,romantic heroes to the greatly worshipped Sri Raghvendraswami in every role dislapyed his versatile acting along with a golden voice singing melodiously,romantically and powerfully too!Which were not gifted to MGR &Sivaji. The best cautious move Dr.Raj made was not entering into politics though millions of his fans wanted him to. So Dr.Raj Kumar lives eternally in all the hearts of the film lovers in Karnataka,irrespective of caste,creed or party. Long live this great actor's memories. snaga
